Nadine Hürtgen is an experienced qualified Patent Attorney Assistant (Patentanwaltsfachangestellte) and trained Patent Advisor (Patentreferentin). Nadine has been working with Dr. Peter Steinecke, German and European Patent Attorney for almost 10 years and manages our administration office including independent handling of questions and instructions from our clients and from colleagues regarding formal matters, payment and surveillance of time limits of annuities of several hundreds of Intellectual Property Rights, and supervising new Trainees. Besides advanced training courses, which the members of our team attend on a regular basis, Nadine has first-hand knowledge of formalities in US patent filings from her internship with one of our renowned correspondent law firms in the USA.

In this context, it should be mentioned that in accordance with the Case Law of the Boards of Appeal in the European Patent Office an educated German patent attorney assistant is considered to be qualified for independent handling of formal matters since they have to proof their professional knowledge by written and oral examination. Our team of at least five educated German patent attorney assistants ensures by applying the Four-Eyes Principle and the supervision by Nadine that all due care is given also to the formal requirements of the cases of our clients.
