
Dr. Anna Katharina Heide is a founding partner of the law firm ambidexIP and works in close cooperation with Witthoff Jaekel Steinecke. She studied natural sciences with a focus on applied microbiology and biotechnology. Following a research stay at the Jülich Research Center of the Helmholtz Association, she continued her scientific career in the research and development departments of Henkel KGaA and Bayer AG. She earned her Ph.D. in an interdisciplinary field of applied microbiology and biotechnology.
On her path to becoming a patent attorney, she trained at the Patent Litigation Chamber of the Düsseldorf District Court and gained experience at the German Patent and Trademark Office as well as the Federal Patent Court in Munich. Since 2009, she has been active in the field of intellectual property law. She qualified as a German patent attorney in 2012, became a registered European Patent Attorney in 2014, and has been admitted before the Unified Patent Court since 2023.
